Hot 97s Peter Rosenberg keeps it 100 whenever he provides his opinion on a subject. When discussing Nicki Minaj, there was no change in Rosenbergs filter at all. The Hot 97 radio personality proceeded to critique Nickis approach in her music and appearance, citing her performance at the Grammys
The radio host also likened her new single “Starships” to pop stars Ke$ha and Katy Perry. “I mean no disrespect to Nicki Minaj, but it was nice having you in Hip-Hop,” said Rosenberg. “This song right here, ‘Starships,’ is literally one of thee most sell out songs in Hip-Hop history!”
The last time we saw the nightlife photographer and all-round scenester, Cobra Snake, he was making sky-high platforms draped in the American Flag for the quirky shoe brand, Irregular Choice. They were borderline stripper-chic but in a fun and harmless way. This time around he paired up with Vans to create some deliciously fun cheeseburger-themed sneaks.
Dubbed Fast Food For Your Feet, these limited edition Vansonly 60 have been madewill be sold exclusively at the Parisian boutique Colette starting March 1, at the beginning of Paris Fashion Week.

Akon has amounted up $51,000 of construction bills on his Georgia mansion, and he still hasn’t paid up — this according to a new lawsuit filed by a local contracting company.
Southern Electric filed the lawsuit against Akon in Georgia Superior Court, claiming it completed over $344,000 of work on Akons place — electric work, framing, molding — but he refused to pay $51,941 on their final invoice. According to the suit, Southern Electric contacted Akons mommy last November not just to tattle, but because his mother was acting as his agent in the deal but still, S.E. has not received a dime.
Theyre now suing for breach of contract for the amount allegedly owed, plus interest. FYI — Akons Georgia palace is a two-story four-bedroom, eight-bath model that he forked over 1.65-MILLION dollars.

After news broke that Diddy planned to launch his music video network Revolt, the entertainment mogul has released a video officially announcing the news.
Rihanna and Chris Brown have reconciled, at least professionally because the former couple have collaborated on 2 brand new songs.
It’s only been 3 years since Brown beat up Rihanna’s during a late night argument in L.A. but the singer and her have each released songs featuring the other’s voice. One is a remix of Rihanna’s song, “Birthday Cake” and the other is a new version of Chris Brown’s, “Turn Up the Music.”
Both songs hit the Internet this week and both Rihanna and Brown have been pushing the songs on Twitter.
The songs seem to prove the rumors that Rihanna has forgiven Brown and is willing to move on. Earlier this week, Brown tweeted Rihanna “Happy Birthday” and Rihanna actually responded, “Thanks.”
Federal prosecutors are seeking to delay the sentencing of rapper B.G., who pleaded guilty to felony weapons and witness tampering charges in December 2011.
According to NOLA, the rapper, whose real name is Christopher Dorsey, was originally scheduled to be sentenced on March 14th. Now, prosecutors with U.S. Attorney Jim Letten’s office are looking to push back the court date as they are objecting to sentencing guidelines. The office “received information about Dorsey from fellow federal prosecutors in Southern Illinois,” though it is unclear what sort of information they obtained.
The 31-year-old emcee was originally arrested while driving a stolen vehicle in November 2009 for possessing three weapons, two of which had also been stolen. A plea deal has not been arranged, and B.G. could face eight to 10 years in prison.
MTV has announced Rick Ross as the number one emcee on its Hottest MCs list.
Ricky Rozay, whose 2011 consisted of the release of his Maybach Music Group compilation Self Made Vol. 1, edged out Drake, who landed at No. 2. Kanye West came in at third, while Nicki Minaj and her Young Money boss Lil Wayne grabbed fourth and fifth place, respectively.
“I just got the news that I was voted the game’s Hottest MC, and man, it really means a lot to me, of course, but it’s an honor,” Ross told MTV. “It’s something I’ve been watching, something I’ve been a fan of forever. Of course, MTV, they run the game. MMG, we’re here. Shout-out to the whole team.”
Check the full list below, as well as a clip from the MTV special where the network’s Brain Trust explains why Ross deserved the top spot.

DMX has been accused of owing more than $1 million in back child support — but the rapper isn’t convinced the woman pointing the finger is really his baby mama.
DMX’s ex, Patricia Trejo, was in L.A. Superior Court Thursday morning, arguing against a motion DMX filed in their ongoing paternity case — in which the rapper asked the court for permission to perform in Europe.
In paternity cases where significant child support is owed, the owing parent is prohibited from obtaining a passport without a court order — and X wants a special dispensation.
But Patricia put her foot down in court Thursday — claiming DMX owed $1 million in unpaid child support, going back to her daughter’s birth over ten years ago and she was tired of waiting around.
DMX tells TMZ, he hasn’t paid because he’s not convinced the girl is his and wants a DNA test to prove paternity before he starts handing over cash.

Whitney Houston was laid to her final resting place on Sunday, at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ.
Houston was laid to rest next to her father, John Russell Houston, who died in 2003. The burial was a small “family only” affair and not the star-studded event that Saturday’s moving funeral service was.
As we first reported, Whitney’s casket was heavily protected since the funeral on Sunday, with nearly 10 security guards working in shifts to keep it guarded.
Houston passed away on February 11. A cause of death has yet to be determined.
Moments after Whitney Houston’s funeral began, her ex-husband, Bobby Brown, was spotting abruptly leaving the service with his son Landon Brown. So, why did the New Edition singer exit the church just 20 minutes after the funeral began
“My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston,” Brown said in a statement released to E! News.
“We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move.
“Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi-Kristina. In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. My children are completely distraught over the events. This was a day to honor Whitney. I doubt Whitney would have wanted this to occur. I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how.”
Brown’s agent, Jeff Allen, previously told E! News the singer left early to make it in time to his concert tonight (the New Edition show starts at 8 p.m. ET Saturday night in Connecticut). Twitter was abuzz with speculation of what might have gone down, due to tweets from the media and funeral-goers.
“I am at Whitney’s funeral. I spoke with Bobby Brown trying to calm him down and not distract from the services. Today is about Whitney!,” Al Sharpton tweeted. “I am going back in the services, I did my best out here. Can’t tweet from inside the sanctuary, I hope the press will not distort the day.”
And there are also reports that Brown brought a “posse” that funeral organizers didn’t want to accommodate.
A source told E! News that while they’re not sure that was the reason Brown left, it was definitely an issue while he was in attendance.
